Where I sat

The Yankees-Orioles game has just finished and it got me to thinking about the games I attended. So I took a seating chart of The House That Ruth Built and blackened in the sections I (vaguely) remember sitting in.
In addition, I put a (rather large) "X" on the first base position in honor of the one and only game I actually played at Yankee Stadium, as a member of the New Jersey High School All-Stars against the New York H.S. All-Stars.

For the record, we won, and I went 1-for-3 with a single through the right side in my first at-bat.

Ah, the memories.

That's cool. I'm surprised you have that many, I suppose. I recall that game in HS. I remember your dad was so relieved when you got a hit. And then on your third at bat they served one up to you, but you only popped up. Damn shame.

And then there was that really boring game (probably the one all the way up in the yellow section up from 3rd base) when we got there late and all the scoring (2-1) was already done. Ugg.

I still remember the pop-up. Big 'ol beach ball. It wasn't even a "gas 'em up" pitch.

Ah yes. Gas 'em up. A great phrase, one I repeat to this day.
