Oh, the boredom

I know it has been awhile since I really posted anything. And you would think it was because
I've been too busy...but that's just not the case.
Just to give you an idea of how exciting life in the Austin area is, here's a recap of tonight's local news (and I'm not kidding)

10:00 - Pastor who was shot in Mexico is brought back to his Austin church for a memorial service.

Okay, that's a legit news story. But that's where it ended.

10:03 - First Warning Weather.
The title gives the impression that something big is on the horizon. But no, not in Austin. Instead, the colllagen-happy weather girl only reminded me what a beautiful day it was and that there's "no real weather on the horizon."

10:04 - Mother wants to save dead son's sperm.
You've gotta be shittin' me.
I honestly don't know what was worse - the fact that this was the second "major" story of the night or that the report actually lasted three whole minutes.

10:07 - Man wants cowboy hat back.
Here's the rundown.
Guy goes to the Bruce Springsteen concert
Guy throws his cowboy hat on stage during the encore
Bruce dons said cowboy hat.
Bruce finishes encore - walks offstage.
Guy yells for Bruce to give hat back.
Bruce keeps walking.

10:10 - Doug changes channel. Watches Cosby Show rerun.
